Colistin is an antibacterial agent with a bactericidal activity against gram negative bacteria like E-Coli,Haemophilus and Salmonela. It belongs to polymixin group. It is not absorbed from the intestine when taken orally, so it is mainly effective in gastro-enteric infections.

Mak Coli powder is indicated to prevent and treat diseases of gastrointestinal tract that are caused by microorganisms that are sensitive to colistin sulphate in poultry which includes Colibacillosis, Salmonellosis, Streptococcal and Staphylococcal infections.
